Show Notes

Philippians 2

  1. A call to Gospel-centered community—unity of mind, love, spirit, and purpose.
“...make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.“ ~ Philippians 2:2

  2. The core of Gospel-centered community is assuming Christ‘s humble, selfless attitude of love.
“Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus.“ ~ Philippians 2:5

  3. Jesus is God. (Philippians 2:6; John 1:1-3)

  4. Jesus deserves all our praise.

  5. Be a star in our hopeless world.
“...that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,” - Philippians 2:15

Lights - the radiance of God: “And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the holy city of Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, shining with the glory of God. Its radiance was like a most precious
jewel, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.” ~ Revelation 21:10-12
